Preparation and Washing
- Empty pockets: Check and empty all pockets.
- Turn inside out: This protects the distinct twill weave and keeps the outer color from fading or rubbing against other items.
- Pre-treat stains: Dab a small amount of liquid detergent or a fabric-safe stain remover directly onto spots like grease or dirt. Avoid harsh rubbing.
- Select cycle: Put your washer on a cool or lukewarm (max 30°C/85°F) gentle cycle.
- Use mild soap: Pour in a gentle liquid detergent and avoid chlorine bleach, which breaks down cotton fibers.
Drying and Ironing
- Air dry: Hang the shorts on a line or drying rack in a shaded spot to protect the color from UV fading.
- Tumble dry (optional): If using a machine, choose a low-heat setting and take the shorts out while slightly damp to avoid deep wrinkles.
- Ironing: If needed, iron the shorts while still slightly damp on a medium setting, turning them inside outto prevent a shiny look on the twill face
